Vuillaume - H. R. Pfretzschner - Heinz Pfretzschner

H. R. Pfretzschner, the son of bow maker Carl Richard, studied bow making in Paris with Jean Baptiste Vuillaume. In 1880 he founded his own company in Markneukirchen. His sons Hermann and Berthold Pfretzschner conducted his business from 1914. Horst Pfretzschner, Berthold's son - took over the company in 1958. Heinz Pfretzschner - one of Horst Pfretzschner's sons - works in the old, traditional workshop with his son René, after parting with his brother Richard in 1986.
